Talk about a ‘Super” day for the Oher family.
No doubt by now you’ve either heard the story or saw the movie, “The Blind Side.” It’s the story of Michael Oher, current Baltimore Ravens offensive tackle, who was born to a crack-addicted mother, bounced around foster care for several years before finally being adopted by the Tuohy family of Memphis. The Tuohy’s helped steer Michael’s life in a completely different direction, one culminating with a Super Bowl victory over the 49ers on Sunday in New Orleans.
“I came so far from nothing to a Super Bowl champion. I’m in shock right now,” Oher told ABC’s Good Morning America.
While Ravens quarterback Joe Flacco is widely considered to be the happiest Raven of them all after his MVP performance likely gave the free-agent-to-be a little leverage come contract time, it would be tough to top the euphoria felt by Denise Oher.
Denise Oher is Michael’s biological mother and Sunday she watched her son win the Super Bowl while attending a party in downtown Memphis.
