If you love the Bush family, then you’ve got another member of the family to get excited about. If you don’t like them, then this is not your lucky day. But the birth of an innocent child is always something to rejoice, so please keep that in mind. Jenna Bush Hager gave birth to a girl this week, adding a new addition to the family. Margaret Laura ‘Mila’ Hager came into the world on Saturday, according to an announcement made by the family.
The girl is Jenna’s first child. She is married to Henry Hager and the child was born in New York city. The child was named after the grandmothers of former President George W. Bush and his wife Laura.
“Laura and I are thrilled to announce the birth of our grandchild,” read the Bush family’s statement. “We met our beautiful granddaughter today. Jenna and Mila are healthy. And our family is elated.”
The child arrived right around the same time as the George W. Bush Presidential Center, set to open on May 1. Hager has been a correspondent on “The Today” show, where she has been employed since 2009. Both she and former first daughter Chelsea Clinton have taken careers broadcasting on national television. It must be nice to have those opportunities from birth.
