After the recent blockbuster hit, “The Avengers,” people are wondering how you can top that. DC Comics, a rival to Marvel, says that they have just the thing. Imagine Batman and Superman working together to fight against the forces of evil. That could be pretty amazing, right? Well, that’s what you’re going to get.
“Man of Steel” director Zack Snyder popped up at Comic-Con to say that he is making a Superman film and that the film is going to include Batman. This is the first time that the two heroes have worked together on anything. He says that the script is still being written, but it’s sure to be an amazing feat.
“I am the man who beat you,” read Harry Lennox, before an image of the Superman logo, backed by the Batman symbol, flashed on the screen.
Warner Bros. confirmed the first-ever pairing in a statement.
Snyder reimagined Superman in his June blockbuster “Man of Steel,” starring Henry Cavill and Amy Adams. The film has grossed more than $630 million worldwide.
Cavill and Adams will appear in the sequel, Warner Bros. said.
Reaction to the news stunned Twitter and left fans at Comic-Con giddy.
