Hes made hundreds of millions of dollars playing baseball, won championships, and gotten the adoration of millions of fans worldwide.  So, maybe this is the time for Alex to just step to the side and call it a career. It’s not as if he would change anything, since going natural probably wouldn’t have netted him the kind of money that he has in his bank account right now.

What would you do?  Would you go natural and risk having no one know who you are, or would you take a chance at glory and use the same drugs that nearly everyone else is using anyway? It’s a tough call for most people.

Major League Baseball has dropped the hammer on Alex Rodriguez for his involvement with the anti-aging South Florida clinic, Biogenesis. The superstar slugger has been suspended 211 games, which will carry his punishment through the end of the 2014 season.

MLB commissioner Bud Selig addressed A-Rod’s suspension in a statement saying he was “proud of the comprehensive nature of our efforts – not only with regard to random testing, groundbreaking blood testing for human Growth Hormone and one of the most significant longitudinal profiling programs in the world, but also our investigative capabilities, which proved vital to the Biogenesis case.”

Selig also added in the statement that Rodriguez’s punishment was covered under the drug program’s protocols and the player’s “use and possession of numerous forms of prohibited performance-enhancing substances, including testosterone and human growth hormone, over the course of multiple years.”
