Near Memphis, police caught a man who has been on the run for a month whom they believe is responsible for a vιolent rαpe. Pierre Polk was apprehended for allegedly beαting and rαping a Millington woman while she held her baby in her arms.
The incident occurred back on November 29, but police just found Polk hiding in a area hotel on Monday night.
In an interview with New Channel 3 in Memphis, the rαpe victim’s stepfather said he was glad police had Polk behind bars, but he doubts if jail can help the man he refers to as ‘twisted’.
On the day of the incident, Polk went to his ex-girlfriend’s house asking her to get back into a relationship with him. When she refused he kicked her in the head until she blacked out, not once but twice. Deputies say Polk tortured the woman for 11 hours. At one point he threw her in the shower under cold water until she became alert and then he rαped her while she held onto their 3 month old baby.
The victim told police that Polk told her, “When I get through with you, nobody will want you.”
After the rαpe occurred Polk paced the floor with a sharp object threatening to take their child away. Police say instead of him taking the child he took her iPad as a gift for his new girlfriend.
The victim’s step father says this isn’t the first time something like this has happened. He says when the two were younger, Polk had done something similar to his step daughter in Tipton County, Tennessee.
The victim had reportedly been in an abusive relationship with Polk from the age of 15. She is now 19 years old. Her step father says, ‘I guess he talked his way back in and the next thing you know she’s pregnant.’
Having fallen victim to an on and off very abusive relationship, the victim tried this time to reject him and found herself held captive to Polk’s violence. Although he now sits in jail, the victim will forever be tied to him because of the baby they have together.
Polk has been charged with aggravated burglary, kidnapping and rαpe. He’s being held on a $2 million bond.
